Dew point calculator
Calculate the dew point from the air temperature and relative humidity, and see how humid it feels.
About this calculator
Enter the air temperature and the relative humidity. The dew point is the temperature the air must cool to before water starts to condense out as dew or fog.
A dew point above about 18 °C (65 °F) feels muggy, and above 21 °C (70 °F) feels oppressive.
Measurements and terms explained
- Dew point
- The temperature at which air becomes saturated and water vapour condenses.
- Relative humidity
- Water vapour in the air as a percentage of the maximum it could hold at that temperature.
Common questions
Is dew point or humidity better for comfort?
Dew point is steadier through the day and describes how muggy it feels more directly than relative humidity.
What is the dew point when it is foggy?
Fog forms when the air temperature drops to the dew point.
